It’s insane that Sonny Moore went from singing in a shitty emo core band to co-producing music with Beyoncé.
Which tracks did he work on? I haven't been a huge fan of his pop production but I've liked everything on here so far.
i like some singles here and there but overall albums are just ehh to me. Glad other people are loving it though!
Still havent had a chance to sit down and listen in full, but the 5 songs I've heard so far friggin slap.
only one listen so far but i think this might be my favorite of hers. the production on this is just so good.
I misunderstood a lot of the Kelis situation. Didn't know Pharrell had nothing to do with it (though The Neptunes stealing Kelis's publishing has been an issue for awhile and remains a problem that they will hopefully resolve) since he didn't produce anything on the album. Also, apparently it's a 10 second interpolation of her voice from "Milkshake" at the end of "Energy." I can kind of see the reason that Beyonce didn't reach out for something like that, especially considering how sample heavy the album is. But someone from the camp should have informed her.
I love Flesh Tone but I don't really get the comparison, apart from the semi continuous mix aspect. Beyoncé's take on dance and house is so different here. The former is much poppier too.
Yeah, this is a really cool album. I've only been a casual fan and for whatever reason her last one didn't do a ton for me, but this rules.
Kelis calling Beyonce a biter is not something I was expecting to read today. I would have been so captivated by this 17 years ago.
I’ve dabbled in this so far but I haven’t been able to actually connect with it yet - like everything I’ve heard, but I need to set aside time for it to fully appreciate it. Production is notably incredible though
