This one was tough to get Got it from Telegram, which I had never used before, but seems to have become a go to general place for leaks

 

Just sharing a quick premature opinion under spoilers.

I remember when S/T came out and, on my first listen, I was completely floored by Haunted, not only its switch up but how it subverted my expectations. There are multiple moments like that here, I mean it's constantly evolving stylistically. I loved Break My Soul but I'd say it's a bottom tier song considering how superior the rest of the album is in comparison. It really didn't prepare me for the more adventurous material that was waiting to be heard!

I love how she puts her own spin on so many dance adjacent genres, mixes them all up with other sounds and, with the amount of old school samples, how it feels like her own love letter to them. I'm happy that she kept the afrobeats influences from The Gift too, and integrated them in a bit more experimental way. I'm also loving the DJ Continuous mix feel it has at times, with many songs segueing into each others. It makes it such a ride. I already want to see people lose their shit to it in clubs, pride events, or similar settings!

Early standouts are Alien Superstar, Virgo's Groove, Move, etc. The All Up In Your Mind => Summer Renaissance run is phenomenal as well, the second half is insane.

 

You had me at Pride events! Super hyped to hear this on Friday!!

I believe also Pharrell wrote the song for her so that’s why there was no clearing needed from her but Beyoncé did give her writing credit on the album.
