Now that CDs are out in the world, there are more differences being noticed in the tracks that ARE on the album, aside from missing the 4 songs. Further showing that when the CD needed to go to the plant, she did a fair amount of work/changes after that. Here's one quick breakdown I saw CD version differences from digital release aside from missing Spaghettii, The Linda Martell Show, Ya Ya and Oh Louisiana: - Protector (missing Rumi/Sir outro) - Mr. Sir (instead of My Rose) - Jolene (featuring Willie Nelson) - Levii"s Jeans (transition cut early) - Flamenco (1 second longer at the end) - Desert Eagle (missing eagle sound intro) - Riiverdance (some refrain and chorus are longer) - II Hands II Heaven (longer outro) - Tyrant (longer outro)
I kept telling myself I check out Shaboozey and then a bar song(tipsy) came on my Apple Music thing and I listened to it. I was instantly hooked so now I’m about deep dive his catalogue tbh. he even interpolates J-Kwon’s tipsy which makes it even better.
finally getting to this. I like it! it is quite long but I think it's not really a problem to throw on and let fade in and out of focus. helps that there's some lower-key stuff on this (and the interludes give it a *letting the radio play* energy). lots of great songs, feels like a fun and loose project honestly
I just listened to Shaboozey's album from 2022 and really enjoyed it! If anyone likes his features on this album, give it a shot
which, can we just take a pause, is kinda insane. That song has more streams than either of his songs on the Beyonce album, has more streams than all but 3 songs on that album... that feels wild to me
Kinda crazy how quickly the conversation around this album died. I guess you could attribute it to Taylor but felt like it happened even before then.
It’s not really an easy album to revisit, given that it’s so long and a lot of the songs bleed into other songs which makes them harder to pull off for playlists or standalone listening. I stand by my initial feeling that there are a lot of good songs but that it needed an editor.
Yeah if it were 20 minutes shorter I would have played it a hell of a lot more but I think I’ve heard it like 5 times
It's also just been a very busy spring of album releases, particularly in the pop music space. The album will probably still earn plenty of accolades come the end of the year.
Agreed with all of this, plus the lack of music videos or traditional single pushes or marketing campaign, you aren't getting constantly hit with reminders of the album. I think it's pretty obvious that a music video with Miley alongside a proper single push for that song would do wonders
Idk, haven’t had much interesting to add, but I’m still going back to this fairly regularly. Certainly a good contrast with Taylor’s album, which has grown on me but still feels frustratingly bloated. This one is very long and would be improved by losing a couple tracks, but it also was a very satisfying first listen and continues to feel satisfying.
lmaooooo a correct vinyl is coming with all the songs, I feel so bad for everyone who got an incomplete vinyl of this album, especially now. and the resale value on the incomplete vinyl will be so bad (read: cheap)
yikes at calling this one the "official vinyl" on top of it all, really devalues what happened even moire
Criminal shit. This should be like when a company recalls a faulty product. Fans who bought the original pressing should have the option for an exchange.
Yeah I’ve gone back and forth with customer service and given up. Won’t be purchasing this from her store especially but likely not at all because I have such a bad taste in my mouth about the whole thing. It’s a bummer too because I did enjoy the album a lot
My view on this is finish your fucking album before you put it up for sale/send it to the press plant lol. Once you've done those things, it has to be "done." Come up with a great song in between those deadlines and the release day? Great, put it on the next album.
