That's a little over 33 minutes, bringing the two combined to 68 minutes. That's just a tad longer than Colors.

 

Coma Ecliptic is 68:31 so it's right on par.

 

Wish it was one full album but I can wait while part 1 tides me over in the meantime.

 

I think I like this more than Coma and Great Misdirect, but not as much as Colors or Parallax 2.

 

Ive gotten 4 good listens in on this and so far Id throw it behind the Parallaxes.

Once again feels like natural progression from the band but that's something I think you can say about every one of their records.

Yellow Eyes is low key a Dan track. Dude just kills it the whole track.

 

The clean vocals in Yellow Eyes really remind me of someone, but I can't place who!

Great Misdirect being that low while Parallax and Colors are at the top is kind of confusing to me. Yeah, TGM is kind of generic sounding to me, but if you enjoy that sound, I dont know how you can put it below ST, TSC, and TAO.

 

Also, I really wouldn’t consider Anatomy Of...
a true album. I treat it more as a bonus and sits more along the lines of Thomas’s solo work.

 

For me personally it was just super bland. Like it wanted to be Colors but wasn't near as dynamic and they didn't seem like they cared nearly as much about it. I put it that low because its literally the only BTBAM record I have zero desire to ever listen to.

 

Yeah it’s not fair to compare Anatomy alongside the rest of their discography. The cover of Bicycle Race alone makes it their best work.

 

I get that its a covers album and not really comparable to the rest of the discog but I still do like it more than Silent Circus
S/T and Great Misdirect. I listen to it more than those three easily.

 

I was just being facetious, but I'm pretty much with you. In fact, unless I'm in a really big BTBAM mood, I mostly only listen to Colors, Parallax, or Anatomy.

 

I REALLY dig the drums starting at 1:13 in House Organ.

 

For Me it's Parallax, Colors, or Coma Ecliptic

 

The Coma Machine is this band’s best standalone song

 

Yellow Eyes could be one of the best songs they have ever written.
