I ran into Conor once before a show a few years back. The interaction went exactly like this...

Me: Connor! Hey, how are you?
Conor: Great man, you going to the show tonight?

Me: Yes, can't wait! Thanks for all your good shit
    Conor: Cool!

    Me: Yea....see you...later...

    [Both walk away awkwardly]

It wasn't until 10 minutes later that I realized Nathan Walcott was standing next to him the whole time and I completely ignored him. Oy!

See you all at the Pittsburgh show tonight!

Welp Boston tickets never went down. I was aiming to get four, but then two of the four people I’m with got the crazy priced Stubhub tickets which threw off my plans. I could have gotten 2 from a few people here but I was being nice to my two friends and didn’t wanna leave them out lol.

I’m gonna take a trip to Providence instead and happily paid $50 for each. We got a hotel to not worry about getting back after and I’m calling in sick Monday! Whooooo!

I'm a ridiculous human and sometimes I plan out how I'd talk to certain artists or celebs of I met them and these made up scenarios always have me acting cool af while the reality would be me being a shy disaster of a person.

haha i do that too. I am generally not afraid to talk to people, in front of people, in public, etc. but i know meeting Conor would make me poop my pants.

Wow. The punk version of funeral was well worth the price of admission. The Replacements cover was just a fantastic cherry on top.

Great show last night. Bad Blood wrecked me, and the Mats cover too. Punk version of Funeral rips. Wish the audience had been a little more into the show.

I stood in the back for Lala near the bar at the Cleveland show and I legit could barely hear her over how many people were talking - loudly. Felt like I was at a bar and there was just background music. Granted, it's a large venue so watching the band from the bar is not ideal, but it just seemed louder than normal (talking-wise).

For BOCC, I moved closer to the stage, but had to move away from the couple next to me because they wouldn't shut the hell up. They were just having a casual conversation throughout the first 4 or 5 songs and I so badly wanted to be like 'why the fuck are you even here?' but instead just moved away from them.

I swear I always get stuck next to or in front of the worst people at shows but then I'm like shit, maybe I'm just too uptight?

I find it hard to understand why so many people go to shows like this and talk the whole time. Like I feel like at least half of us had to fight to get tickets to this tour at all between trying to buy them the second they went on sale or having to pay crazy stubhub prices. I'd think the crowds would be less casual at a show like this but maybe I'm out of touch with why people go to shows lol.

oh my god, I'm back on my bullshit Prestigious

Think some people see shows as a night out with friends as opposed to going to a show to see a band

Found cheap parking on SpotHero for tomorrow. Going to get in a little later than usual. Grab a decent beer at the bar (the Sinclair usually has some solid choices) and hang out near the back. I can't believe my show is tomorrow! And can't believe I'm FINALLY hearing Phoebe's voice live.

For me going to a show is an event because I'm likely spending a ton on gas and hotel and taking a day off work so I got no time for people's nonsense!!

yeah im about a 45 minute drive from SLC and as ive aged i really only make it out for the bands i really want to see, so its a bummer to get stuck next to the locals who are just at another show.

Always liked the lyrics, but the music & execution just seemed to boring, indulgent, & long.

I am constantly annoyed/disappointed by ppl at shows that talk casually throughout. Unless they hang back far from the stage, I think it’s inconsiderate & illogical to hold conversation while an artist is performing in front of you.
