I’m sure some end up back there but at least it gives people a second chance

I'd be insanely furious if my ticket got cancelled.

I agree with the logic but I think that’s still unfair because what if someone only listens physically (i understand that’s irelavent in this case, but I’m sure you get my point)

They have ways to track who legitimately purchased tickets and aren't re-selling them.

Fingers crossed they do that for this tour but at the same time it'd be a huge bummer if they release more tickets and the exact same thing happens.

Well it seems like they will at the very least do something to make tickets more available. I’m hoepful

One thing they'll do is give up guest list spots for sale.

Doesn't Spotify do something like this? Give out pre-sale codes for biggest listeners? I feel like I remember this happening for a Chance the Rapper show once.

wrap yourself in petals for armor.

They should just come onto these forums and give us the guest spots

I literally just started using Spotify again and got pre-sale codes for both BOCC and CHVRCHES when I've barely listened to them on the service so not necessarily whoever plays it the most.

Ah I'm not a Spotify user so it seems like I misremembered. Too bad cause that doesn't seem like a bad idea.

I have heard of them doing giveaways for the people who listen the most, though.

They do a couple things like this. They base it on area as well.

Sometime last year they invited a bunch of users from the greater Seattle area to a private Noah Gundersen show because they had streamed his songs so much. Super cool.

I've only had Spotify for the past year but this was the first time I ever recall being e-mailed for presale tickets. I got the e-mail Tuesday morning and didn't even realize it had a pre-sale link until Tuesday night, where I was still able to grab a ticket. In hindsight, kind of shocking I was still able to grab a pre-sale ticket 10-12 hours after I got the e-mail.

I’m going to lose my mind if they cancel everyone’s orders and just do another sale. There has to be a better way to find the bots and cancel theirs specifically

it wouldn't be a mass cancellation. pretty sure they have ways to determine tickets that were bought en mass

In the past this has happened for shows I was able to get tickets to, and it didn’t effect me at all. It’s just that tickets come off the second hand market so that they can be sold at the original price again.

My understanding would also be that if you already bought on the secondhand market you’re probably safe with that ticket, but I wouldn’t expect a refund or anything if you ended up over paying.

FWIW, the Chicago shows, both of which were sold through the venues website, was a bitch to get through as well. I hate TM and LiveNation as much as the next guy, but it isn’t solely their fault.

Yep, Lincoln Hall's ticketing system is the absolute worst.

I run into issues with a lot of ticketing sites. Ok like two or three but there aren't that many lol. But yeah Ticketmaster is def the worst. The fees and the glitching and how they profit off scalpers ugggh. I hate dealing with them.

Edit The worst part is that right after I made this comment I had to use Ticketmaster lol

I was extremely skeptical for a few minutes during the pre-sale since it's so cumbersome to fill out LH's forms, which I was doing during last call.

Took about five minutes for the confirmation email to come through.
