LH don’t check IDs, at least they haven’t recently, so technically someone could sell the ticket and then just say use x name at the door and the purchaser would get in fine.

I guess if you are a scalper you probably know which venues do and do not enforce stuff like this? But I've never once gone to pick tickets up at the door and not had to show an ID. I've definitely seen people turned down for not having a matching ID on several occasions.

I got two tickets for Asheville. Luckily the venue doesn't use Ticketmaster.

I tried getting Tame Impala tickets this morning also, but decided against it after seeing all the fees Ticketmaster was going to add. Literally 50% of the total ($126) was FUCKING "SERVICE" FEES! Of course that show sold out in like 5 minutes anyway.

My favorite was seeing Built to Spill one time with will call tickets... walked up to the box office and they asked: "Will call?"
    "Yes"
    "Great! Go on in."

Didn't even ask for my name or give me a ticket. Just waved me into the venue.

  7. Well, shit, I guess no one's hanging out with me before the show in LA if no one's coming. Fucking bummer they sold out like that everywhere.

I had a ticket in my cart about to fill out the payment when I decided to double check my calendar and realized it's the same night at Andrew McMahon... ughhhh. That's three mornings I wasted trying to get this ticket and now I'm not going (I'm obviously excited for Andrew, but still, fuckkk).

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Cleveland show get upgraded to House of Blues.

I'm not sure, but the show is 'in association with The Grog Shop' and Grog Shop shows have for sure moved to HOB in the past. It's one thing to sell out, but it's another thing to sell out in 40 minutes or whatever it was. I pray it stays at Beachland because it's my favorite venue in the Cleveland area.

I haven't been there in a few years so things may have closed since then (I think a brewery just closed near there) but the Fillmore is cool. That was definitely open as of last year because I went after a Cavs game and it's a 30 second walk to Beachland. Or there are a few bars/restaurants on E. 185 - about a mile East from Beachland. I go to Muldoons a ton.

Not going to lie, a VERY sketchy area. It's right around the corner from Collinwood.

Don’t some artists buy back tickets and put them back up?

Has that ever been done before? Canceling ticket purchases and then re-releasing them? I'm sure if some only bought one or two tickets, that seems legitimate. Obviously, if someone bought a ton (was there a limit for this show?) then maybe those can be looked into.

If anything, like I said earlier, they may just try to find bigger venues.
