Yeah I wish they didn’t do 7 different presales, all sold out within seconds. And then do the general sale at noon on a weekday.

    Ugh.

  2. For the collective sanity of all of us they need to upgrade these tiny venues.

I was able to get tickets in Minneapolis.
My brother tried to get tickets to the Chicago show but it sold out before he could, and then the second show was added and he was checking out and then when processing it told him they were no longer available.

I got tickets in the pre-sale for the Cleveland show. Sounds like it was impossible to get them today. Scalpers are the worst

Ugh. I guess I'll have to hope they add more shows. I'm glad to hear at least one real person got tickets though, congrats!

Also love how my phone takes way too long to Load the captcha that makes it so bots don’t get tickets but really it makes it so humans can’t beat the bots

There are 133 tickets available on seatgeek ranging from 113 - 584 dollars. That’s 25% of their capacity being sold again already. Crazy.

I used to work with a guy who would just buy tickets to big shows and sell them for way more. Always annoyed me. He said it wasn’t his fault people missed their chance.

I don't know why they played such small venues. Maybe because the tour was setup so late in the game? First Avenue (1350 cap) is over twice as big as the Fine Line (650 cap) but its already got a billing. Palace Theater is almost twice as big (2500 cap) as First Avenue though and managed by the same company and has nothing listed that night. That's actually where I saw Conor and Phoebe in 2017 and that show was sold out.

I was wondering that too. I wasn't living in Mass last time Phoebe came through but I heard from friends that she played too small a venue in Boston last year and this exact same thing happened. Honestly I just don't understand why more shows aren't will-call only. Seems like such an easy way to avoid this problem, but maybe I just got spoiled living right next to a venue that always did that.

  16. Man I feel extra lucky now. I didn’t realize they were even on sale that first day until like 30 minutes later and got 2 no problem..I guess the demand wasn’t that high here..

Bummed for you guys, hopefully this is just a fuck up and they release more or are able to recover some of the ones obviously being scalped and gauged on stubhub.

The shows in Chicago stated very obviously that the tickets were non-refundable and non-transferable and you had to put the names of the people that would be taking the tickets if not the purchaser at time of purchase. If people bought them anyway without realizing.. what happens then? Empty seats. I guess?

Was it will-call or just like e-tickets with names printed on them? Because it seems like the kind of thing that just might be stated and not enforced? I got that warning when I bought tickets for something once and made sure my friend and I got there together just in case there was an issue with his ticket having my name on it, but no one ever checked.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Ticketmaster or other sellers own half the bots that end up reselling the tickets.

Yeah, I imagine it works if you go to the venue to pick up the tickets and have someone with you. I was thinking most people just sold them online and didn't actually have to go grab tickets at will call. The statements leave room for interpretation though, so I'm not 100% sure.
    • All tickets purchased through the web site are NON-REFUNDABLE.
    • All tickets are NON-TRANSFERRABLE.
    • The name in the 'Ticket Pickup' portion of your order will be the name your tickets are held under at the door- if you are buying tickets for someone else, you must indicate their name in these fields.
