No idea who this Scogin guy was until I read that he did the vocals on the best Norma Jean album, so i'm all in on him joining.
I remember listening to them at the time the first came out, but they never scratched the itch I wanted after Bless The Martyr
He features on ETID's All This and War and it goes insanely hard, I think that is why most of us in here would love to see him given a shot.
The Chariot shows were really something else. One time they were support on some tour and they did a medley of like 10 songs in 3 minutes.
That All This and War feature is a stone cold scene classic. Doesn't get much better than that. Not sure about Scogin for a full project but I don't think they'd move forward with this info without an idea of who would be the replacement. Just so strange to announce the departure, finish the album with the old singer, then go on tour of a new album with the new singer. but glad they're on good terms
the one time I saw The Chariot their bassist was getting married so the entire set was just wall of NOISE because it was just the 2 guitarists. was insane lmao
I took their post to mean that they were finishing the album without vocals and that they'd be looking for a new singer to record over the instrumentals?
I swear BL posted a reel(s) of Greg recording vocals. I don't think that was for those 2 other songs on the deluxe. But IDK for sure.
!!!!! it was time for that project to wind down. There was that moment where they were working with that big time producer and they were a staple opener on giant shows, but it never broke through in the way they were hoping I think. That first release was so awesome, and seeing them live is so fun. I would love him to join BL, he’s such a creative force my only concern would be him joining with a group of dudes who are also that way. Definitely fuel to the fire tho. They would never kick Goose out, but if Daniel came back and it was an ETID / OG Norma Jean supergroup i would throw up.
Jordan did like the Buffalo show post. Granted I've seen him show support on the promoter's page a good amount before.
