There were rumors of Matt from the Bronx being the vocalist before Greg was announced whenever Better Lovers started. I wouldn't mind that.
Seen in groups and reddit(take it with a grain of salt) that weird stuff regarding Greg is coming out soon
If you’re talking about Black Queen, that's been going for a while, but he hasn't really done much with it since his solo releases and BL.
gotcha, had only just heard about it and thought I saw a tour announcement, so had no idea. thanks for the clarification.
Love the idea that a band that just lost their vocalist and really needs some stability should employ Keith Buckley. My answer remains the same as the last time this issue came up: hire Julie Christmas.
Never liked Greg’s vocals for this group so this is actually great news to me lol +10000000 for Scogin joining
Maybe if this was Matt from 20 years ago but he’s mellowed out quite a bit vocally in the last decade so I wouldn’t be into it.
With all due respect , Greg wasn’t my favorite vocalist or lyricist, so I’m excited for what’s next. Also good to hear it’s on good terms.
I don’t hate the idea of a new vocalist jumping in every album or two. The music is so strong and those dudes are so established in the genre I feel they could pull it off. I don’t expect it to happen anytime soon, but I do hope the dudes in ETID can bury the hatchet and put out music again with Keith and the Big Man included.
No one excited me thinking about who would be on vocal duties for this band. Then they announced Greg, and I was excited. Since I had previous ties to liking Dillinger. I'm not deep enough into the scene there to know who could be a contender. I have faith the boys will pull of something good. Gotta be someone that can do the old songs justice. Which that right there is a feat. Scoggin pulling off old Greg songs would be something to see. He obviously used to be able to do that. Now, IDK. That seems a little bit too wild for him now.
In all seriousness I can’t think of many names from the scene that’d be realistic. In an alternate universe, I’d be curious to hear someone like Daryl Palumbo, Nate Barcalow, Jason Aalon Butler, Doug Robinson or even Brock Lindow over their music though. I wonder if they have someone already established in mind through their connections, or they’ll go with someone much less known.
Jami Morgan from Code Orange Howard Jones ex-KSE Just wanted to throw some off the wall answers out there in case it happens and I can say I told you so. Scogin makes too much sense though. EDIT: Mike Hranica since it seem like TDWP don’t want much to do with his harsh vocals these days.
