Riff wise Jordan has been at his peak for awhile, I do miss the Jordan and Andy combo complementary playing. I feel I should listen to this a bunch of times before deciding how I really feel about it, but part of it still makes me miss dillinger and Etid.
This album is the first release where I'm like, "Alright maybe something really good came out of the ETID breakup". EDIT: Superman Died Paralyzed, my word
Got laid off earlier this month and have understandably been in a pissy mood and this was exactly what the doctor ordered.
Also opening riff of Drowning In A Burning World is giving huge Partying Is Such Sweet Sorrow ~vibes~ in the best way possible.
I have the first two on vinyl, probably get the third for Christmas. Mine just asked to listen to it and dance around last night.
I was kind of hit and miss on the singles for this but overall it's pretty fun even if not mind blowing.
This is really good. Lots to chew on. I'm excited for the next album where they can really solidify their identity. Hopefully they see some success.
Based on their general response at Furnace Fest and how much of their merch I saw, people are fully on board with them, and I think they really are picking up where ETID left off when it comes to popularity and maybe picking up a few DEP/FFAA fans along the way.
