It's gonna be so weird watching Breaking Bad and feeling a new context to so much stuff when none of this story existed at that time lol. It's all just been so well done
I honestly wonder what BB era Saul would think if he knew the entire Walt/Jesse meth operation was happening directly over Howard’s decomposing body. I guess it depends on just how apathetic Saul really is, or if there’s enough Jimmy left in there that it would register.
Finally all caught up. Bit of a time skip there, wonder if we’ll see more of the transition in flashbacks of sort
I watched ep 9 thinking it was the premiere of this half season. could’ve sworn it was a 8/8 split and Point and Shoot was the mid season finale title. Lmao i thought it was just a very weird time jump and Lalos fate wasn’t known yet. Just went back and watched ep 8 after coming into this thread and realizing i missed so much.
Now im not expecting anything major, but i expect some rewrites to how we view bb to happen tonight. Some new or contrary information but well see.
i'm nervous about where this is gonna go next. on the watch podcast this week, peter gould sounded nervous about how fans would receive the last few episodes.... can't wait.
Like a NUMBSKULL, I agreed to go to dinner with my friends downtown tonight. Probably won't get home until way after 10, but I must watch before bed.
Completely blindsided by that episode and yeah, did not think that’s what would happen when Gene took care of Jeffy. Hated that they had to recast but love Pat Healy so it gets a pass and Carol Burnett was great. Also pleasantly surprised to see Jerry as the main security guy. Just really have no clue where this is going
It’s was a cool episode but after the last few feels like a disappointment. But I also don’t know how you follow up the last episode without some sort of palate cleanser
God, going from the world of Better Call Saul after all these years and now leaving all those characters behind, along with the color, here at the end really does make Gene’s world feel that much more empty and lonely.
I really don’t know what to think. The episode was so well done, but it feels like a weird spot in the series to air it. Like, are we going back to the BB era the next 3 weeks? What’s the point? Personally don’t have much desire to see episodes focused on the BB era this close to the end of the series (also didn’t think we’d have the Kim/Jimmy break-up so early.) Really hoping we get more gene in the final 3 episodes, but kind of scratching my head on this one. I still think we never see - or hear from - Kim again.
