I think Howard is my favorite character and hope we get to see more Patrick Fabian in the future, but I'm a little let down that Jimmy and Kim's main arc in the final season is to sabotage his career. You'd think at this point things would've snowballed into something more chaotic. I appreciate the slow-burn and although this show is always top-notch TV, at times it does feel like it never took off and just meandered needlessly. It also rarely feels like one show to me, it instead feels like the Jimmy and Kim law drama (what makes the show great) and the ongoing cartel saga (which just feels like watered down Breaking Bad - and I adore Tony Dalton and Michael Mando). In any case an entire season is left still, and this show's already done such amazing things character-wise. Chuck, Howard and Kim are always a treat to watch, as are Mike and Jimmy obviously.
It’s already better than BB, it just needs to stick the landing with the ending for it to become official
I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of the 'sabotage Howard' arc so far either, it does seem kind of silly. that being said every time this show went on a detour I thought was gonna be underwhelming, like the building the underground meth lab arc in s3, it ended up being absolutely fantastic in hindsight. this arc will probably be the same, it's gonna go to some wild places we won't see coming
It’s definitely more sophisticated than BrBa in a lot of ways, but I wouldn’t call it better just because the cartel side is so derivative of BrBa. The legal side of it, especially when Chuck was also there, one could argue is better.
I feel like the acting and writing is better in BCS, but the overall intensity, drama and entertainment is better in BB. I mean, they're both all-time great television shows, imo.
Crazy thing is we all knew it was going to happen, in one way or another, and the fact they could still make it feel that…shockingly - for lack of a better term - solidifies that this show is just next level.
Even though there was clearly no way out for him once they were all out in the desert, I still kinda felt like he might’ve been able to pull something off
