Two questions for people: Do you think Walt and/or Jesse will show up? And do you even want them to? I'd be fine with them not showing up to be honest. You figure every important thing with Saul happened in BB, I can't even wrap my head around if there's other ways they would fit into the show without feeling shoehorned in. Cause any lesser person would've ended the season finale with a close-up of Fring or something you know? Also this is still like 5+ years before BB. The entirety of BB is a year, and what is Saul involved in, maybe 9 months of that? Theoretically BB's timeline will be just a blip in the timeline of this show. Curious to know other people's thoughts or wants in regards to Walt and Jesse.
I don't like to think like that, so broadly of if I want it or not. This show has done SO well so far of introducing BB characters, without it being pushy or obvious, every character has made total and complete sense. If the show incorporates either of them, in a way that is so seamless as these have been so far, then sure! If it works for the story, and the show, then it works for me
Oh I absolutely trust Gilligan and Gould. The cast of this show is perfect and not one BB character has felt forced to me. If they show up or not, I know it was right for the show. I guess I more wonder how many people sit around and are impatient for that stuff, to me this show is amazing as it is. I'd love it if they appeared, but in no way would it take away from this show for me if they didn't.
yeah I'm totally with you in that case then. I'm for it if it works, and I'm not going to be mad or disappointed if it never happens
Yeah. I'm not expecting either of then to show up but if somehow they manage to squeeze those two in without feeling forced, that would be pretty cool.
The only way I could see them showing up is in the very last episode of the last season which I still really doubt.
In case you missed it: the first letters of the titles of this season's episodes spells a very interesting phrase. It's an ambigram.
i'm honestly not even concerned about it mainly because of how damn good this show is. and i think that after two seasons, it has clearly established itself as a separate entity altogether. like, i remember when it was first announced and all i thought about was it being another BB and seeing Walt and Jesse again at earlier points in time, but now i'm thinking more about Kim's allegiance to Jimmy and Chuck's story (what happened to his wife?), stuff like that. it has clearly removed itself from the shadow of BB.
Agreed. Pretty much everything about this show is perfect to me. And I just watched some of Saul's clips from Breaking Bad and really there's such a difference between how Jimmy has heart and Saul had none. Odenkirk and everyone have been awesome at fleshing out this character and pre-BB world.
My guess is that the show will end with Saul getting the bag over his head by Walt and Jesse and we'll hear new dialogue from them. There's no way at this point they could get Aaron Paul to look like a season one or two era Jesse Pinkman.
They've said they'll probably do a lot more post-BB scenes potentially starting next season, it might be far-fetched but Jesse could find Gene.
Great ending to a great season. That was my favorite shot of the ep. If only more shows were this interesting visually. This one helps make up for the cinematic hole the cancellation of Hannibal left.
same - i blasted through the series real fast. the cinematography in this is stunning. some of the best shot scenes i've seen in television. the whole intro to e8 or 9 in s2 with the ice cream truck going through customs was rad
