I'm really banking/hoping for Gene getting back with Kim again at some point in the B&W world (funny calling it that). It seems way too cheesy for this show though.
Transforming Kim into a “Saul” is a cool idea i didn’t expect them to take this season. What a finale/season!!
At this point I'm thinking one of the big reveals of the final season will be that it was Kim who gave Jimmy the final push into becoming the Saul we know from BB. The Saul who is truly a criminal first and a lawyer second. Seems to me that up to this point, Jimmy has been willing to bend the law to the breaking point, perhaps even break it here and there, but only to the extent that any given situation calls for it. He clearly seems uncomfortable doing anything that will cause Howard more than a minor setback in his life (he has plenty of money to get a new car easily, he can explain away the hookers as a prank, etc.). Something resulting from Kim's ruthlessness is definitely going to lead him down the final stretch of character development he needs before he reaches the point where we meet him in BB. And that was not something I was expecting up until last night.
Also, really interested to see what the root of Jimmy's falling out with Mike winds up being. Because that interview with Gilligan and Gould seems to indicate that we're going to see why two people who have so much history together don't seem to get along very well by the time we meet them in BB.
I've been watching every other week so I can watch two episodes in a row, and holy shit the last scene of episode 9 with Lalo, Saul and Kim was so intense. Rhea fucking killed it in that scene. I've also come around on Lalo, he's great. Though when he jumped off the ditch onto the car left me wondering why the dude's always doing spiderman moves.
Exactly what I wanted to say, chills Lalo is like the perfect balance of personable and menacing, and umm jesus I can't wrap my head around what he's about to become Great finale
Especially after seeing that sweet old lady murdered, Lalo will give no fucks about sparing Nacho's elders
Should I feel bad that I wanted a nice clean end to Lalo to start the episode and by the end I'm just like "yes burning everything down was the proper call"
seriously, even just the first fact that Lalo was able to see him through the window before he shot... like, come on
what a show. when the credits rolled i just shouted that’s unfair Lalo and Kim are MVPs. I am terrified of what both of them will be doing next season
who would win: 6 elite assassins with machine guns and the element of surprise or one half drunk, sleep deprived dude with a frying pan.
