Walter was really just a destructive force. Better Call Saul really emphasizes how much Walt actually desroyed.
Seriously. Like the full magnitude of what Walt does is already pretty enormous when you just watch BB, especially in the first half of S5, but BCS just further shows how much work was put into these plans by Gus and Mike that Walt later just walks in and completely obliterates lol
I know this show is great cause it feels like there's no time between each episode when the rest of life could not be going by slower lol
I'm a little bit of worried about season 6. The whole Covid-19 situation will definitely delay things so I am not even sure we will get this in 2021.
the good news is, writer’s rooms and script-writing and table reads and all that stuff can all happen remotely so in theory they should hopefully be able to get straight to shooting it by the time this is all over
I believe they weren’t supposed to film til the fall so in theory they could probably make this work, before they send us back into quarantine in the winter
Exactly, there was an interview with Vince where he basically says exactly this, that they are currently writing the episodes during quarantine
this second half of the season might be the best stretch of the entire show. no reason to assume the finale won't extend that lead
I was actually thinking they may split the final season in half anyway like they did with Breaking Bad, Mad Men - even if there was no health crisis.
I'd think they can't really film at all until we're safe from the virus, and at that point, why split it in half unless a second wave of the virus hits us during filming?
Vince admitted they split the final BB season because they needed more time to write, with covid and since they're already writing the final season for BCS I'd say they have plenty of time so the final season shouldn't be split (I hope)
I think the real reason BB S5 was split was because AMC wanted to get two sets of Emmy noms/wins for the price of one.
Yeah, they did the same with Mad Men too. The longer they pro-long it and keep it on the air, the more, attention, money, awards etc it can draw. That said, due to COVID, it's probably going to be such a long delay before they can film, edit, etc so we're probably talking a good 18-24 months before we get it aired. I believe that to be true for a lot of shows right now.
I'm not expecting them to even start shooting until late spring 2021, or even summer/fall 2021. I don't think the final season airs until spring 2022 at the earliest.
Yeah there's probably going to come a time where we don't get new episodes of *anything* while studios catch up with the delays
