man growing up in PA I know people exactly like Kim and her boyfriend in Florida. That felt super authentic to me.
To the second point… I think that’s just sort of the nature of what they were working with. We knew what Saul was up to during Breaking Bad so there wasn’t much room for dangling plot threads to carry over from the prequel timeline into the “future” timeline that somehow would need immediate attention after all these years. They needed to reset and have him inevitably screw up again to start bringing in elements (Kim) from his past.
so i get to brag here a bit! sometime late last year at my job where i'm currently at, i got to pack some stuff that would be used on set for BCS. i was waiting to see if i would spot any of it so it was exciting being able to see at least one of the things i packed. packed the hat, along with some tubes/pipes and extra cartons.
Flashback with Walt tied to making some sort of amends to the cancer man he ripped off? Or are amends completely out of the question for Gene at this point?
I get what you mean about it seeming like satire. But this is dead on the bland ass life a lot of people live. And a good chunk are content with it too. (Source: live less than an hour from Titusville)
I can't believe I ever thought this show would have a happy ending lmao, of course Jimmy is on the run at the end, he is the biggest piece of shit in the entire BB/BCS universe. I hope he survives
To me, Jimmy getting arrested and put on trial is the symbolic choice to make lol. When I think about it though, if he is backed into a corner and knows it, I can see him ending his own life as police approach or break in where ever he may be. I have never been right about a prediction in these shows lol.
In the timeline she would have moved to Brevard during that boom before 2007-2008. Titusville is like a real city now.
I'm glad I started rewatching BrBa the other day because I otherwise would not have picked up on that Emilio easter egg
Yeah idk what the difference is but I've always found miracle whip to be gross compared to regular mayo
Loved that we got a Kim and Jesse scene, I never even thought to hope for that. And it's kinda brilliant because all this time people have drawn parallels between Kim and the role Skylar played in BB (& the toxic interpretations of the Skylar character) -- and we thought of Nacho as the Jesse stand-in. But in the end, Kim is much more like the Jesse of this show: the willing participant in the protagonist's scheme, but ends up haunted because she/Jesse have a pure heart, whereas Walt/Saul have become fundamentally rotten.
Andy Greenwald said that on The Watch today. He described them as willing participants to the sociopath.
The scene with Jimmy just not giving a fuck/being a dick to Kim the last time they were together really hurt to watch.
