I've been used to zoning out during TWD, so there were a few times I went to goof around on my phone and I immediately put it down like "no no, this deserves my full attention" haha. I love this show.
Loved how bad Jimmy was at staking out that guy, blowing Mike's cover. Kim doing the "give me a dollar" thing to Jimmy. Howard climbing the wall. Jimmy rolling the tape off the wall like Chuck showed him til he just rips it off. 3 more BB people. So good.
So now we know what happened to Chuck's wife. Also, damn, Jimmy is in serious trouble now. I wonder if Chuck is going to press charges immediately or use it for blackmail or something (I don't watch the scenes for next week so I don't know what happened in them). Great episode though, what an ending. And the scene at Los Pollos Hermanos was so tense and cringe-y at the same time.
Really going to love writing about the show this season. Recap #2: Better Call Saul Season 3, Episode 2 Recap: Mike Makes A Decent Detective
Jimmy's explosion at the end was great. I hope we get to see some "lawyer-ing" in the coming episodes. I wonder how involved Kim will get with the case.
Loved this episode. Jimmy taking off the tape was such a great scene. With all the preparations Chuck made with the PIs I'd wager the tape Jimmy destroyed was not the actual recording and it's out there in Chuck's house
Gus was my favorite character in BB. Boy did they make his intro here subtle, but effective. Loved him just slowly edging closer to Jimmy while sweeping. Then that shot of his face in the parking lot...
I feel like this season is already blowing the first 2 seasons out of the water. And I loved the first 2 seasons.
It almost feels like everything Mike has been doing is a sort of "job interview" for Gus, if that makes sense.
Is everyone absolutely loving the slow-burn element of this show still? Starting to feel like it's dragging a bit.
I can't think of any part in the last two episodes that I would've had them rather just rush through.
It'll really start to pick up next episode I think. Jimmy is effed and Gus has arrived. It's about to go down! I for one don't mind the slow burn at all. I enjoy every second of these shows.
Yeah, there were always moving pieces carrying the "tension" and "slow-burn." Breaking Bad also benefitted from the fact no one knew where any of it was going. This show spends too much time building up on the slightest of plot advancements and it's getting a little silly.
What's the name of the other lawyer that Jimmy was talking to? I don't remember how they've interacted in the past. I will say that I was fascinated while watching that guy eat his snacks, and then he just threw his two half eaten bags of chips away.
