Never had Publix or Potbelly so I cannot confirm or deny but WaWa is vastly superior to any chain I have ever eaten at. I don't know how people enjoy Jersey Mikes, the sandwich is like 80% bread.

 

I used to love Quizno's, but I haven't been to one in years. I went with Jersey Mike's.

 

It's weird to see someone endorse Wawa and shit on Jersey Mike's

Never had Publix or WaWa, but Jersey Mikes is hands down the best of the rest.

Never had an issue with it being too much bread.

Great Outdoors and Great American Hero are also great but I think those are local/regional.

did Quiznos go out of business as a whole? I used to have like 3 or 4 within a 15 minute drive and they're all gone now.

 

even though they don't have them here anymore I went with Quizno's because the toasted sub was such an obvious but essential innovation

They went bankrupt and most of their locations closed, as far as I know.

But years ago, i would get quiznos once a week. The ham & turkey club, classic Italian, and mesquite chicken with bacon were all so good.

Jersey Mike's needs better bread, that's basically the only thing holding them back imo. Not to say that you get too much bread, but that the bread isn't of a great quality. It's decent, but not great. They need a hard roll option.
