I’ve seen four movies at non peak time in the last week or so and three of those has garbage people. It’s a curse. The problem is that old people go to non peak hours and they are insufferable
I guess I've just been lucky. I've been using my MoviePass and I usually go after work around 4pm. I've also been watching stuff that's been out for a little bit (Mother, It, The Foreigner)
The audience at my nearby art house cinema skews older and yeah they just watch movies based on reviews then complain
Yes, this is quite a common occurrence. I had this one older couple who would always watch movies based on RT scores, and then would walk out of their movie 75% of the time because they thought it was trash and would demand passes lol
I know people talk about putting M&Ms or reese's pieces in their popcorn, but believe it or not, sour patch kids are pretty good with popcorn too.
I knew that post would get a rise out of at least 1 person. But I'm for real, SPKs with popcorn is legit.
i'll be taking several trips to the movies in the next 2 months with thor and star wars, perhaps i'll give this a try.
I don't dump the SPKs in the popcorn or anything, but I'll take a SPK and some popcorn in the same bite and it's honestly pretty good. If you try it, report back!
The day they put the calorie count at theaters was the day I never ordered nachos or pretzel bites ever again.
I love having a burger or beer while watching a movie, but the only dine in theater that can manage to do it properly without ruining the movie is Alamo Drafthouse.
I think SMG is pretty good. Movie Tavern too I don't usually bother with concessions unless it's a real meal. Or if I'm with someone who wants popcorn
Had my first Alamo Drafthouse experience on Sunday and it was phenomenal. Popcorn is my go to movie snack but their pretzels & cheese dip were next level. (also ladybird is really good and everyone should see it)
I miss having an Alamo Drafthouse so much. I always get one of their whiskey milkshakes and kimchi popcorn
