I mean sure? Granted I listened to each individual episode where they explained their thoughts on each film and how they settled on placement and what each film represented to them.

Only 4 of 25 being foreign is a big tell.

I like The Big Picture quite a bit. That being said, there are obviously many glaring omissions and ridiculous inclusions.

I wouldn't say it's a reddit/chat gpt list though. It was well thought out; it's just very subjective to the two hosts

I have seen about half of them. 25th Hour is a masterpiece.

American Splendor, Control are both good. The Man From UNCLE not so much.

I was a big supporter of Bright Star when it came out. They really threw that film away and didn't even bother giving it a Blu-Ray release at the time. A Very Long Engagement should stay forgotten. Head-On isn't very good and is very much a film of the 2000's. Master and Commander went through its re-evaluation recently but I guess it is still underseen. Peterloo was a chore. Phoenix and Somewhere are great, but lesser known from each director. I remember Phoenix being a pretty big deal when it came out. The Beat That My Heart Skipped is bad and from the man who plagued the world with Emilia Perez. The Taste of Things is fantastic. Arnold's Wuthering Heights is sort of like a Malick version of that story and definitely better than the one coming out this month.

That list should have Un Prophete instead of The Beated That My Heart Skipped. I remember when I watched it, I started it over and watched again. Not sure I've ever done that for another film.
