I really love this record. So bright and vibrant. I'll be playing it a lot once summer hits.

 

:/ I thought the album really disappointed. So few songs stood out at all. Overall I found the album pretty boring.

Which is a shame cause I liked the singles and Calofornia Nights was fantastic

 

Definitely a bit bummed too. The singles leading up are some of the best work I've heard from them, but the rest of the album kinda blends too much.

Honestly, this band doesn't have a single album I love, they really are a singles band for me

 

I think about half of it is brilliant and half of it is perfectly pleasant to listen to, so overall I really like it. Definitely understand thinking of them as more of a singles band. Only a handful of songs before have really quicked.

Brilliant Half: Different Light, Everything Has Changed, For the First Time, Rollercoaster, Seeing Red.

The only real clunker for me is Master Of My Own Mind.

 

Different Light has been in my head for days. Honestly only got tickets to the show tonight for Mannequin Pussy, but I'm about equally as excited for Best Coast now.

I didn't really care for the song on first listen, but I am curious to hear the whole project once it drops.
