I definitely feel that way about Hot Heavy Summer, bar maybe Nica Libres

that's one of my favourite albums of the decade, absolutely perfect

the guitar tone in "Small Things" alone hoo boy

 

tuned my acoustic to the open tuning that he uses a lot and, dang it, the riffs write themselves. this is fun.

 

could be smoothed out a bit more but got the jist of oats in the water down

not totally in love with the song but very interested, especially with Dessner involved

also the song "Rookery" on the tracklist might be "Untitled" which is probably my favourite song he ever wrote
