Dead @ him regifting something from a fan but it's not even regifting because he's technically charging for it.
this is all very strange, hilarious and bad edit: and this has existed for 58 days already and they don't even have half their goal lol good
(Its only been up 2 days. They have 58 days to hit their goal) But yeah this shit is weird. I love Max/Say Anything but I doubt all 4 of these albums he wants funded will ever see the light of day. We might get two at best.
They live in Tyler. I wonder if they live in the same house that Sherri and Adam Lazara lived in lol. The house referenced on better homes and gardens lol. It yeah this Kickstarter is weird and too ambitious
I see Eisley clan has not learned how to do a realistic Kickstarter yet. I hope everyone who gives money is happy with what they get but it is absolutely bonkers to try and convince people it costs $85,000 to make 4 albums that you're going to give away for free. Not to mention that the write-ups for almost all of these rewards are...weird, to say the least. edit: I'm sorry I just had to add that I cannot BELIEVE two adults decided together that that sentence about covering Brand New/NFG was appropriate.
Max did a twitlonger last night because somebody was upset that they hadn’t heard about their song shop or something in 2 years and he Referred to the dollar bill brand new thing. It comes off like he keeps mentioning them to “prove” he is a good person or something.
So that whole thing was too long for me, but I searched for what you're referencing and I'm even more confused. He says, "I’d like to think we’re all allowed our “ask our fans to send us one dollar for a lyric booklet and don’t sent them for ten years” moment." Why does anyone deserve a moment where they knowingly deceive fans and steal money from them? That's what Brand New did and it was always something that bothered me about them, even before all of the much more upsetting things came out about Jesse Lacey. Again, I'm glad people are happy to donate their money and I hope that what they get in return is worth it to them. I just hope that whatever money they get that doesn't end up being spent on this stuff is put to good use.
Max has always been super weird, superficial and pretentious to me even though I like his music. Fuck everything this Kickstarter stands for. Really odd to see him pushing music so hard shortly after "ending" Say Anything for the reasons he supposedly did. Wouldn't be surprised if he starts that up again once he is hard up for money. Maybe he should donate some of the unnecessary profits from the Kickstarter to the three bands he fucked over by cancelling a coheadlining tour at the last moment?
Well it's also weird to end the band THEN use the band ending as a way to promote the rarity of some of the packages here.
i love SA but this bums me out. they are really exploiting their fans. their house listing also said something like "current home of Max and Sherri Dupree Bemis and is the birthplace to many iconic albums (Say Anything- Hebrews, Eisley- The Valley, Currents & I'm Only Dreaming, Perma- Two of a Crime, Two Tongues and many more). This home offers large living spaces, a cozy kitchen, converted garage that is heated and cooled, and all the possibilities in the world. Schedule your showing today and continue the immense legacy this house already offers.” it's creepy and weird idk
I hope the people who spend their hard-earned money on this are happy with whatever they receive. It's so culty
Well I trolled max house in Tyler and it’s worth 170k and then I trolled Adam Lazzara and he’s got a 450k house in Charlotte so yeah. I was a little bored at work today lol
He ended say anything because he didn't want to be a touring musician and wanted to focus on other projects and his family. Idk how making music with his family is weird because he ended say anything. Also I agree some of the rewards are odd but obviously no one has to buy anything they don't want to. I have no idea how much it costs to make an album but if this many people are willing to donate then it sounds like a fair deal to me as long as they follow through on their end and create them (which I don't see why they wouldn't).
