Wild there wasn’t a thread for this already. Saw it earlier today and thought it was great.

Yeah, I loved this, too. Better than the trailer indicated.

beautiful movie. absolutely loved it. ive seen some negative reviews about glazing over the politics of it, which seems to miss the entire point of the movie. obviously I'm not from Ireland so my perspective is a little different, but come on

I thought it was well made, but didn’t hit me as much as I think it wanted to.

History as a Hallmark card. At least it was short.

Just saw this because it was playing in Dolby at my local AMC and I think it’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen? Went it with low expectations, but I was struggling to stop crying by the end.

It was laundry detergent. But yea, Ma should have had better timing.

Just watched it, it was fine movie. Can relate to moving away from home young and looking back fondly on my neighborhood.

the part where Pa says Catholics are about fear (god I just watched it. It was fear wasn’t it?) and it cut to the Protestant preacher losing his mind in anger and creating fear was just hilarious.

has anyone else seen the alternate ending? I really liked it and made me recall when I returned to my old neighborhood when I was old enough to drive. But I do understand why they cut it, it wasn’t necessary for the story.

This was good. Don’t really have much else to say about it. Didn’t really blow me away or anything but it was good.

Just watched this on an airplane.

How fucking amazing and lovely was this! Just a truly special movie. Lovely. I can't think of another word. Great soundtrack! Romantic (the husband wife was adorbs, especially their dance at the end)

I wish I could talk in irish proverbs like that with every sentence. Anytime someone asks me a question i give them a witty, funny, wise response... that's my dream

Once in a while, a good old crowd pleaser is okay.
