My birthday is 9/4 and Regal is doing both early IMAX and 4DX screenings that day. I am not sure which to go to and if anyone has an argument for either I’d love to hear it.

Beetlejuice was, and still is, one of my absolute favorite movies and I was positively OBSESSED as a kid. Which is funny to think about now because I was only 2 when it came out so I wonder if I saw the cartoon and then went backwards into watching the movie. Either way, I had the talking pull-string doll with the spinny head, action figures, the Beetlejuice grave set and a random car toy they made. I’m considering buying a themed popcorn bucket!

THe first one was terrific. Looking forward to this one.

 

I honestly feel for the people that have to come up with menu items to tie into every blockbuster movie that comes down the pike, especially something as weird and out there as Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

The article is accurate in that they could have leaned into the theme a lot more, but you also have to balance that weirdness out with stuff that people are actually going to want to eat.

I can't blame those people for maybe wanting to take a bit of a break on thinking outside the box.

 

Got IMAX tickets for 9/4 aka my birthday. Fucking PUUUUUUMPED.

Not going to read any reviews until after I see it, but I am loving the headlines I'm seeing.

 

The trailer did nothing for me, but nice to see positive buzz

i wouldn't know how to reply if someone asked me how long a movie rec was, that is youngster talk forsure lol

 

yeah, this is pretty fun and as good as we’re probably gonna get from latter day tim burton. i honestly thought catherine o’hara stood out at many points. keaton is okay as BJ but not quite lightning in a bottle again. the villain is kind of a waste and disappears for a long stretch of the film that by the time she reappears it’s like, oh right that person

but it’s fine. not the worst thing in theaters this weekend. expect a decent sequel and you’ll get it
