My daughters are dying to see it, they've watched the trailer countless times. Personally I'd rather see Logan, but that won't be happening lol.

So far they've liked the original Cinderella over the remake, but they prefer the new Jungle Book over the original. So this one will be a toss up.

the original is one of my favorites, the story, the songs, all great
there are a lot of great people in this and I guess I see a remake/reboot like seeing a different staging of a play

I don't know if you'll like this or not if you see it, but I'm confident you won't enjoy this as much as the original

They did a great job with "Jungle Book" and "Pete's Dragon" because both of the animated versions needed improvement. This didn't. Besides making Belle a stronger character, letting the courting between her and The Beast breathe a bit and making Gaston more of a creep, there's not much you can do. It's a cash-grab.

Saw it yesterday. I rarely ever wish I didn't spend money on a movie after walking out of the theater. I wish I didn't spend money yesterday. Definitely didn't match the original. I liked Emma Watson and Luke Evans, that's it.

So how much gay sex is there in this movie? Certain family members on Facebook make it seem like there's a lot.

Still not sure if I want to see this, but it might be worth it to rustle some feathers.

Two dudes dance for 3 seconds

It's funny because no one had a problem with the director and two of the stars being gay

I didn't even see anything that bad. You can tell Josh Gad's character is into Gaston and it shows 2 guys dancing for .2 seconds, that's about it. Seemed more like a publicity stunt to get people talking about the movie.

Def nothing hyped to seem more something

“I think that what’s so fantastic about Josh’s performance is that it’s so subtle. It’s always like, does he idolise Gaston? Is he in love with Gaston? What’s the relationship there? And I think it’s incredibly subtle, to be perfectly honest.”

She added: “I don’t want people going into this movie thinking that there’s like a huge narrative there.”

All of the classics already had the same narrative to begin with.

Frozen's is different that's it that I know of

Caught this last night. It's pretty good. Faithful to the original 100%. A few minor details I didn't like, but nothing major.

    I do not exist.

Saw this yesterday and it was a wonderful experience. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Having said that - has anyone noticed that in the opening song Belle's lips weren't properly synced with the music? Gaston was similar but it didn't look quite as bad. It was annoying. My wife and another guy I went with noticed it as well so it wasn't just me. I'm trying to work out if that's something that's been a problem everywhere or whether there was a specific problem at our viewing.

I was very thankful to see that it was only a problem during the first song as I would have been extremely irritated if not.

    5/10.

I really liked the 2nd half of the film. Once the film relaxed and allowed some of its new plot revelations to breathe I begun to enjoy it. I wish they went further with some of these new aspects. Belle being an inventor...damn I wanted to see and hear more of that. Also whoever was in charge of casting for this movie needs to be fired. Gaston...damn We could've done much better than that. And yes, I didn't care for Emma Watson in this. The opening song felt so meh and I think she played a large part in making it feel so.

Also damn...the beast cgi looked like ass.

I'm being generous with the 5 because I also thought the film's visuals and direction needed to take a huge step back. I was exhausted when the movie ended. Director was awful choice.

I guess I'm giving it a 5 because well... who doesn't like beauty and the beast. The new songs were great and there was just enough "new" to earn some respect. I liked Kevin Kline too.

I am not very familiar with the original, it's one of the classics I haven't watched a whole lot, but I thought this was wonderful
