LP#1 is real nice, but I think songwriting was better on the first 7"s

    still, looking fwd to this

Agreed, I haven't listened to the LP anywhere near as much as the 7"s. Kinda weird that they're releasing another album already - obviously going for the burn out, not fade away approach.

That approach seems like the entire philosophy of the band

    I like that approach

  6. Really looking forward to this. While I do like the full-length a lot, I agree that its high points aren't quite on the same level as the EPs. Regardless, I'm excited that a new album is happening so soon, and my hopes are high.

I really enjoy everything this band has put out so I'm really stoked for this

7"s had a more shoegazey sound, I feel

LP#1 sounds a little bit more like Restorations, albeit not even close to the greatness of Restorations's LP#3 - but that's always a great influence to have, so I can fuck with that

Punks In a Disco Bar is a terrible song/album/whatever title, btw

p sure this is the one they were doing live

it's a beach slang song but missing a little bit of energy. don't care for the hook either

  16. This is the most Beach Slang album title and I'm so good with that

“A lot of the songs [on Loud Bash] are the stories of the kids who got turned on to Beach Slang by the first album,” says Alex. “They’re autobiographical, too, but kind of at a remove—I’m not that young kid anymore, but I used to be. You know how it is; rock and roll is a new crop of 15-year-olds picking up guitars every year and having at it. There was something really cool about documenting someone elses life, but seeing myself in it. I suppose that’s why we connect. We’re all kind of one big gang.”

That might be a bad idea, depending on whether or not they branch out on this album. I like all their output, but I can see listening to all of it back to back for the first time getting boring because they're really only writing one type of song, with the exception of Too Late to Die Young. Lyrically, there's only one style they've got. But both are styles people seem to dig so who knows

yeah, that's under two hours of listening, but i'm not sure i can deal with that much of this band at a time, hahaha.
