New album coming out July 22! Tracklist: 1. Entropy 2. Oxygen 3. Deadweight 4. Gone 5. Eventually 6. Fire Escape 7. Weeds 8. Gravity 9. Scream 10. Infinity Room 11. Karaoke 12. Love Song
Very excited for this one. Only started listening because they were on Riot 2021, but after their set there I knew they were gonna stay one of my favorite feel-good bands.
i love it for that reason. You know what you're getting from them, very smart, economical, catchy songwriting. maybe one day i will get tired of it and they'll need to branch out some more but that day is not today
I like both of the singles more than most of the material that has come out since Prom Queen. It's a little more punk a little less indie.
I like the production and vibe I just wish there was a hook. we already have two songs so I’m not listening to more, not expecting a long album even if the release takes three more months.
this song is kinda interesting because to me the hook is that little guitar riff and not the vocal. ballsy move to do that on the single when all the "hits" so to speak are very vocal hook heavy
I agree there's no big hook here, but I think each part of the song is captivating enough for there not to be.
Album is going to be 12 songs: 1. Entropy 2. Oxygen 3. Deadweight 4. Gone 5. Eventually 6. Fire Escape 7. Weeds 8. Gravity 9. Scream 10. Infinity Room 11. Karaoke 12. Love Song
I really like the song. I wouldn't call it mind blowing, but I don't think they need a huge shake up to their sound just yet. This is only their 2nd full length, and imo there's been a good amount of growth, especially with coming into their own as a full band compared to Lili's solo EPs.
i thought the blame game ep had some pretty cool curveballs for them that i was excited for them to explore more, and i think oxygen followed on that well, but this feels like beach bunny autopilot to me
This one did underwhelm me a bit and I agree with @Leftandleaving on the 'autopilot' comment. Funny enough though, the latter isn't the reason for the former haha Even if "Oxygen" represents the extent of their sound's development, for this band & for a sophomore effort, I think I'll be okay.
