She lifted Beaches from Aphasia and to me that's disappointing to see a songwriter be that blatant in the "inspiration."

Apparently it's a very, very sensitive subject.

Finally getting round to relistening to this, it's definitely better than I remembered. Remember it washing over me at the time, but enjoying it more now.

 

Decided to go to her gig tomorrow night. This album isn’t as good as beatopia, but I’m interested if hearing it live changes that

 

I’d say so. I saw her at coachella earlier this year and she played like 7 songs from the album but it was the bangers only. Thought it was a fun set

Recently, there was some drama about a meme she reacted to by going off about men or something. Backlash ensued. I assume the younger side of her fanbase is extremely online so it's likely that comment is tied to this. Wouldn't pay attention to it either.

Her show is the first time I felt old in a crowd as well so I feel you lol

 

I just left and thought the show itself was great. Some kids were scrambling to find the list of songs she’d play, so I showed them Setlist.fm

It think it blew their minds. Someone overheard and checked out the site as well.
