    Jeez, a lot of wild mental gymnastics taking place here for just calling a ripoff a ripoff. Really aggressive, mean-spirited stuff.

    She lifted Beaches from Aphasia and to me that's disappointing to see a songwriter be that blatant in the "inspiration."

    Apparently it's a very, very sensitive subject.

    So pointing out when an artist lifts a song from another artist and puts it out as a single is "suspicious and weird" and in bad faith?

    If you all disagree with the assessment then fine. But the ad hominem and just childishly defaulting to "hmm, that's weird" is, well, childish.

    I like her music. I don't like ripoffs. I thought it warranted pointing out.
