way into this record. i second what someone else said; the upbeat poppier songs definitely work for me a lot more than the slower tracks.

 

I very much agree that the upbeat full band stuff is stronger than the stripped back stuff on this album

 

listened to this for the first time this evening and i enjoyed it muchly

That next endeavor, at least in part, will take the form of an EP out this spring, titled Our Extended Play. The EP’s plural pronoun might be a cheeky reference to the record’s collaborative nature: Whereas her previous releases were entirely written and composed by Bea, she created the EP along with Matty Healy and George Daniel, the production and songwriting wizards behind the 1975. “I already had a really nice relationship with Matty,” Bea adds. “You know, we were friends beforehand, and it was just such a comfortable atmosphere to work in.”

I'm all for this song.

That second verse screams Matty. "I've got something to say, shit, wait a minute, I cant remember." Can totally picture that in a 1975 song.

 

This has the “Me and You Together Song” dreaminess to it. Love it.

I guess my taste is slightly misaligned with the consensus here 'cause I think this song is pretty meh, and Fake it Flowers was my AOOY last year.

 

New track is pretty spectacular. The second verse in particular is so 1975 inspired.

Oh wow that beginning riff is almost identical.

 

Finally got around to checking her out. I LOVE her 90's alt rock sounding stuff, but could take or leave a lot of the purely acoustic stuff. Thankfully she seems to be leaning more into the former now so I'm really glad I started listening

 

So.... is this EP ever coming? Or what

 

They were just filming a music video a couple weeks ago so I'm sure we will hear something before too long but this rollout is a bit weird regardless
