Yeah I'm liking this much more than Fake It Flowers as well. I don't mind that she slightly changes it up with every release. Keeps things fresh. This is going to be on rotation all summer!
Surprised at how subdued this is. I'll give it a couple more shots but I'm only coming away with a handful of tracks. I actually like Fake it Flowers more at this point, even if I do admit that the record was less impactful on me than a lot of others in the genre. Space Cadet was the first thing I heard from her and remains far and above my favorite.
I have the same kind of problems with it that I had with Fake It Flowers - she's such a good power-pop songwriter, but tends to slow it down way too much. She has some beautiful ballads, but it's too mid-tempo for me.
Agreed there, Lovesong is a drag. I dislike the closer too but it bugs me less since it’s at the end haha. Those are really the only two misses for me
I don't dislike it, I just think it is incredibly boring. As a standalone song, it's fine I guess but it kind of drags down the album a little.
I like this. Lovesong was a standout to me so I am not sure what you all are talking about! The last track kind of stinks though.
This keeps pulling me back in, which is impressive considering how much other great music has been released lately. I think this is an all-around improvement from the last one, and I actually think Lovesong might be my favorite track on here.
I'm enjoying this album a lot, these songs are super catchy. I've had that line from Pictures of Us stuck in my head all week.
Finally gave this another shot and had a much more positive second experience. Some of the highs on here are now surpassing her earlier work for me.
First time listening to her (aside from that coffee song she features on) and wow I love this. It's like Clairo covering Soccer Mommy songs. Awesome stuff, really poppy and some really weird and cool production choices
I think you guys might like the debut EP of unflirt, who opened for beabadoobee on her recent European acoustic tour, which is out today. Her music is in a similar lane as bea's material.
