I'd honestly love to see more Cult songs live, just on the basis of their setlist being so full of older staples that I haven't seen much from it at all (the same is even more true for Vacancy). I like "Big Cheese," but I'd be jazzed to hear "Pigsty" or any of the last tree songs on the album. I saw them do everything from Shudder at one of the Walking Wounded anniversary shows (and also some of my least favorite songs from that album on the acoustic tour), so I'd personally be fine with them just fitting "Boy" in and calling it a day to fit in lesser-played songs from other albums. I get why they stick to the hits, but I think they could play a lot more that would be received well; it just has to be better selection (there are a bunch of singles that they don't play much - I'd especially love to hear "I've Been Dead All Day") and not something like "I Can't Go On" or whatever.
They were awesome last night. Openers were great too. Sound was tight. Jack shreds. Cool to have Vinnie do the guest vox. New songs rocked.
I would say the new songs were the highlight of the night for me - although I had seen Strangest Faces before but it was really cool to see How to Ruin Everything and Go To Hell.
I also would love to see cult tracks live. Time Has Come is an amazing earworm and the whitest lie is a great closer.
I have actually seen most of cult live but never The Whitest Lie, which is a shame because that song RIPS
I’m just happy that they’re finally playing “Go to Hell.” It’s my favorite of all of the new bayside singles, and it might be my favorite bayside song in the past few albums.
yeah between Blue & Red and 'Go To Hell' thats 7 songs, so only another small handful would be expected which is basically another EP. would be nice to have all the songs together.
Go To Hell is on Blue EP, we're only at 6 I think the last portion is supposed to be 4 songs for 10 total
I’m cool with them doing four more and putting them all together under one umbrella. The rollout of the “album” will obviously be very different from their past releases, but speaking to the strength of the songs themselves… I think it will be one of their best records overall
I would buy all 10 songs together on vinyl, but haven't they been selling Blue/Red separately? Are they going to then sell a third separately? Or package it all into one vinyl? I hope they package it all together in one, but that'd be kind of shady to those who already purchased Blue/Red.
I could see them maybe doing both from a vinyl collector standpoint. I would be kind of annoyed if they didn’t and I also would buy the third EP and also the LP lol
I think it’s a mental thing for me. I like to feel like the songs on an album are meant to live together. It’s hard to feel like 3 combined eps are cohesive
Not only that...but some of these songs will have been out for 2 years by the time we get the final batch.
That said, all the songs RIP and because they were released as small EPs, I didn't play them to death.
Yeah I haven't really listened to them nearly as much as I would with a new Bayside album, so I'm excited for this to finally come out in that form.
