I’d say Self Titled, TWW and Killing Time are fantastic, but I like everything they’ve released and they’ve never made a bad album. Cult was definitely safe, but they’ve branched out since then luckily. I just wish they didn’t cater to casual fans and play a lot of the same songs over and over again because they have a great catalog.
Yeah S/T, TWW and KT are all top tier. I think Interrobang, Shudder and Vacancy are all just below that line but also very good
I find I listen to Shudder and Killing Time the most wine sometimes there are songs I like and I can’t remember which album they are from. I really enjoy Anthony’s solo and acoustic Bayside stuff. He can write some good poppy songs and n an acoustic guitar.
Not counting Sirens, Cult and Vacancy are easily the weakest Bayside records IMO. They both have some really good tracks but it’s very hit or miss for me with Cult being the weakest. Anyways; TWW > S/T > Shudder > Interrobang > Killing Time > Vacancy > Cult > Sirens
Remarkably consistent band. Even the ones I don’t love I really like. And the ones I love I really love. And every single album has at least a couple top tier Bayside songs.
super consistent band, killing time is their best, then a log jam of other albums, then probably like shudder then sirens
The Walking Wounded is their best record, followed by the self-titled and then Killing Time. To clarify my earlier post, I don't think they have any outright bad records. Even Cult and Vacancy are still solid records. I just don't think they ever feel the need to do anything mind-blowing or different. And that's ok! Not every band wants to or needs to totally change up their sound from record-to-record. They have a sound they do well and they keep doing it. Nothing wrong with that as long as they keep doing it well.
Killing Time is unquestionably #1 for me. Interrobang is #2. I don't really have rankings for the rest. I do love Vacancy, though. Lyrics are very personal to me.
For me it's definitely Killing Time first. After that it gets tricky, but Shudder and Interrobang are probably the next two
I have to hand it to y’all. This might be the longest foreplay to ranking I’ve ever seen on this website. Respect.
S/T The Walking Wounded Killing Time Interrobang Sirens and Condolences Shudder Vacancy Cult I love all of them, and the top 6 are mostly interchangeable
Incredible set - might have to get to the nyc date of this. Bayside Setlist at Revolution Live, Fort Lauderdale
