I was listening to iHeartRadio on my way home from work last night, and Bayside started playing. I can't remember the name of the song but, what I heard I really liked. Can someone recommend one of their albums for a first time listener?

Well, they all sound more or less the same, so you can pretty much start anywhere and be fine. My personal favorite is Killing Time though.

Self Titled is a great place to start, and if you like it move on to Killing Time. They are a super consistent band, you can't go wrong really.

Was only able to get one pre-order ticket. Anyone know when the regular sale tickets go up?

An entire season before that album comes out? Can't they at least release a song with the announcement?!

Wish it were Bay-once and, at the very least, we could stream it on TIDAL before it comes out in a few weeks lol

Hoping this is finally an album I can enjoy from them front to back. That album cover is beautiful.

The aesthetics of the new album are so cool. I love all their work (even Cult). This actually seems to be a lot darker album than Cult. Can not be more excited.

    Edit: spelling

Yeah, where the heck is a single for this? Anyone know who produced this? Never been a huge Shep Goodman fan.

Anthony was on Shane Told's podcast earlier. Basically says this is a sort of break up record about living in a hotel alone after a break up. Sounds very good, I'm pumped.

Super awesome that they made it so you can only get the album inside of a giant pre-order bundle that I could care less about. I don't need shirts and keychains.....just the record. Oh well.

Also, Anthony said the reason no song was released when the pre-orders went live is because the album was not done being mixed and mastered, but the label need everything like sequencing to meet their release deadline. Basically, everything is on a time crunch to meet vinyl's needs since those numbers are important to independent artist's sales numbers.

Great episode of that podcast. Made me even more excited for the record.

As much as I love this band, and I really do enjoy some Bayside y'all, I hope they throw some curveballs in the next record. I think the addition of some extra instruments (piano/keys, 6 string bass) would go a long way

They recently said they experimented a lot on Vacancy and took their sound in a lot of different directions.
