There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive LP (Clear w/ Red & Blue Splatter Vinyl) Much better variant, imo
Was a big fan of Interrobang but aside from Good Advice, Go To Hell, and Just Like Home? These tracks aren’t doing it for me. Going to pass on preordering. Bummer.
This album is 7/8 for me. The only one I don’t love is Just Like Home. It’s a fine song, but lower tier Bayside for me. The other 7 are so damn good
This roll out is crazy and makes it hard to be excited since these a lot these songs have been around quite a long time. Having only two unheard tracks left for release day is quite puzzling. Might as well have just released another EP.
I just think releasing an album where 80 percent of it is released ahead of time is a bit odd and takes away from being excited about a new release. Half of these songs were released a year and a half ago. I get trying to release a bunch of singles to get on playlists but the staggered release is just not something I prefer. I know I’m probably complaining about nothing but I miss how album rollouts used to be.
I think the EPs were great but I would have rather waited an extra year for 10 new songs rather than this weird compilation. But I'm sure if they had another 6 bangers written they would have done that. Can't force it.
Regardless, I really like everything they’ve done this last cycle. Some of my favorites in quite some time and a really strong collection of songs. I’m excited to hear some of these on this tour. I can’t believe it’s been 7 years since I’ve seen them live. I used to see them 2-3 times a year for the longest time, but got kind of burnt out on stale setlists. With this lapse in time it’ll be quite refreshing to hear a lot of stuff I haven’t seen live before.
Ooh I like this one. I still can't take The Devils seriously. It's straight up the "We Are Farmers" jingle.
