Cult and Vacancy are easily my bottom 2 from them. I also don’t love Mary at all, so maybe I’m the problem! My favorite is Killing Time, easily. Loved Interrobang and felt like it was a return to form and it’s definitely top 3 or 4 for me.
The Walking Wounded Bayside Interrobang Shudder Killing Time Vacancy Cult Sirens And Condolences Just sayin’**
lol whoops But nope - I stand by it. Killing Time has some good stuff but I never got the opinion that it’s a top 3 Bayside record.
Hmm... Killing Time Shudder S/T Interrobang Cult Vacancy The Walking Wounded Sirens and Condolences Yes, yes, I know the slander towards TWW. But if it's any consolation, I do love all of these records
I think Walking Wounded would be near the bottom for me too, I like it but I just like most of the other records more
I have a hard time ranking Bayside albums. Sirens is probably at the bottom (some of the lyrics are too dark for my tastes) From S/T onward they are all good albums. The Walking Wounded stands out but I think it's 2nd half isn't as good as the stellar first half.
crazy to me how low everyone puts sirens. musically its my favorite by a long shot and the lyrics while a little immature and angsty have stuck with me a lot over the years. i know anthony didnt write most of it and it was their original bassist so i understand the disconnect there but still the guitar work on that album is really outstanding, even if jack isnt shredding solos like he later does theres some killer riffs and songwriting going on there that has held up phenomenally for me.
Bayside Killing Time Sirens and Condolences The Walking Wounded Interrobang Shudder Vacancy Cult They haven’t made a bad record.
I revisited Cult tonight for the first time in a long time & I just have to say that the album is much better than I remember it being. I feel like I felt similarly the last time I listened to it, as well. I forgot how many absolute bangers were on this song and I'm not entirely sure why.
Just listened to Good Advice and Strangest Faces back to back and I'm enjoying this songs and wish it was a longer EP or full album. Hope they keep writing and do another "colour EP" again in the winter. That'd still a good route to go.
It’s a shame these two songs aren’t going to be on a proper record (I guess they could be in the future), because that would be tracking to be a top tier Bayside album.
