Song sound like it might be good, and I’m also a fan of albums (or Eps). I’ll take any new music from bands I like. it kind of feels like watching TV series where one episode is released at a time instead of being able to watch a whole series of episodes released at your own pace.
yall need to get used to bands doing singles/short EPs more often because now more than ever recording full albums is not a profitable venture for hardly any band, but building hype and name recognition around singles and touring is going to be the way bands sustain themselves in a post-pandemic landscape
I'm totally behind bands doing what they need to survive, but I'd be lying if this didn't fill me with a tense undercurrent of dread.
The verses are classic Bayside (can be good or bad depends on how someone is already used to their sound) but man that chorus indeed rocks.
Oh and by the way, I have read this on the KL discord: “Bayside's "Good Advice" is a part of the upcoming "The Red EP" - Release Date TBA”
It looks like it's just the previously mentioned three singles, and it comes out October 19th. 3rd/final track is called Just Like Home
3 is a bit light for an EP but hey at least it's a release. $22 for a 10" with an etched b-side... Wonder if the next one will be blue or yellow or something. Digging Good Advice
Love Bayside. Hoping somewhere in the UK will stock the EP though, as it'd cost $60.00 to get it from the Hopeless Records site, which is mental for 3 songs.
I just know there’s a 0% chance I ever play a 3 song vinyl except maybe once when I get it I’ve mostly stopped buying 7” or these kinds of things except for my very favorites
3 song EP is kinda underwhelming, but whatever. I’ll take these songs as a cohesive release as opposed to just scattered singles
