Finally got to listen to Strangest Faces, was on a cruise with very poor wifi. I like it a lot. They’re Not Horses comparisons are spot on. Really dig Bayside leaning hard into the heavier riffs.

 

My kids love this song. They think it's a Halloween song, haha. But they always ask me to play the 'scary song'

 

My wife thinks it's a Halloween song, too. It's the song that spooks across generations.

 

I get a Nightmare Before Christmas vibe from it.

 

I'm not going to say it's a Halloween song but I did add it to my Spooky Songs playlist

Bayside were incredible last night. They're such a well-oiled machine. Crowd was absolute bonkers - a little too intense, actually.

 

Yeah they were really good, as usual. The setlist was basically exactly what I expected

Strangest Faces sounded awesome

 

Really surprised/happy to see how much of the crowd knew, and was into, Strangest Faces.

Also, was pretty shocked to see Phone Calls From Poland in the set. That was a nice surprise. Tortures of the Damned also a nice surprise, given they only had 14 songs/55 minutes to work with.

 

Yeah those were two nice surprises for sure! I just looked at setlist.fm and it's missing Carry On so I guess 15 songs which isn't the worst for a 55 min set

 

House of Blues feels so small up front. Bayside is the best and was well worth the 3 hour drive. Thankful the set was a couple songs lengthier and I had originally anticipated. Really glad I went

 

It just dawned on me how much the chorus melody of strangest faces sounds like part of “copycat“ by Billie eilish

 

Oh man, they played Tall last night.

Also, no way this setlist is in correct order. I can't imagine them not closing with Devotion and instead It Don't Exist.

Pier 17 show canceled, apparently beyond their control. Hope it’s not due to lack of ticket sales. That would be sad for a hometown show.

Part of me is kind of relived because I was going to miss it since I’m 10,000 miles away on my honeymoon.

 

would assume due to the weather not looking great and some maybe asking for refunds w/o Thrice.

Hopefully they can reschedule later in the year
