That's the real takeaway here: The Menzingers are the best band. Hopefully some of the Bayside fans will be converted with this tour.

Yeah I couldn't tell if people around me hated them or not lol Bayside fans can be weird

Yeah, I figured there would be a little more crossover than the TBS/Letlive tour, but I'm sure there are a good amount of Bayside fans that may not be too familiar with them yet. That's why I liked the tour lineup so much. I was standing closer to the stage than the back of the venue, so it was mostly Menzinger fans rocking out and moshing. The folks wearing Bayside gear around me were already fans, so it was hard for me to gauge. I know in talking with Tom afterwards, they said it was their favorite night of the tour so far.

That's awesome yeah I was in the pit for Menzingers but I was on the side incline for the rest of the show so I couldn't tell either haha

Sorority Noise covered part of Good Things as intro and outro to one of the songs off their debut (I don't remember which rn bc it's been probably 2 years since I listened to it).

Spoke with a few of the Menz guys last night. New album will be out likely in January, followed by a spring headliner.

Yeah, that's super late. Makes me wonder if Lookers will even actually be on it, or if it'll be used for the split they mentioned wanting to do as kind of a buffer/hype release.

I am also surprised that it isn't going to be out until next year. I'm okay with the wait though.

Give me Red City Radio in place of The Sidekicks and I'll be consulting my physician after about 4 hours.

Definitely goes against what was posted in the supporter's forum haha, but I am not that surprised. They have been really silent on things after after a few posts and things saying details would be coming soon.

I think they are trying to make this the record that gets them to another level, and so I think things are still fluid. I believe Greg said something about the one new song they played where he said it would be on a split, but now there have been comments it might make the record. I think a combo of them wanting this record to break them a bit and not having everything settled has caused a delay.

That's not a bad thing honestly. No offense to Bayside, but a band the Menzingers level, it doesn't really make the best sense to open for them if you are trying to break into the next level or get into a more popular audience. I think their options were to either rush this record out in the fall or just sit tight and hit it at the beginning of 2017. They've already taken their most time on this record, they may as well get the marketing and back-end right as well.

Would be a sick tour, but I honestly only want one or two openers for the Menzingers next spring. I just want that extra bit of set time for a couple more Menzingers songs. Either that or I want them as the only opener for a Gaslight comeback tour (not likelly lol). After they do their spring run I want them opening for a more popular rock band that I probably don't like that much during the late spring and summer to help break them out to more people. Follow that with the festival circuit in Europe and states. Then come back on another headliner in the fall or winter to hopefully a HOB in Cleveland, or rooms about that size.

They opened for Gaslight awhile ago definitely not unlikely! Hope Gaslight comes back next year though

Yeah, I believe they opened for Gaslight on the CW run the same time Gaslight was doing American Slang. What I meant by not likely was the fact that Gaslight would do any shows next spring.

I've always wanted to see Menzingers, Tigers Jaw and Joyce Manor do a triple headliner, personally, haha.

Not too bummed about the album getting released until January. It gives my wallet some breathing room with all the shows I'm trying to get to this Fall.

Last night was great. Menzingers are the best, and that was one of the best Bayside sets I've seen.

I've never seen the Flats and have become a huge fan in the past couple years. People have been throwing around the idea of a Menz/Flats tour on Twitter recently, I seriously wonder if it can happen for this rumored spring Menz headliner.

Anyways, Just got tix to 350 fest today so can't fucking wait.
