Last night they streamed their set online and it was full band again.

 

Okay thank god, I'm going tomorrow

 

The first time I ever saw Reggie and the Full Effect they where opening for New Found Glory in 2004 or 2005. They opened the set in bunny suits and for the last song James came back out to the stage by himself in booty shorts and Good Charollete crop-top while riding on top of a plastic fire truck. He went on to tell fake stories about everyone of the guys in CG. It was so hilarious. After that I was hooked.

I have seen them (him) around ten times, expect for the point where he was going through a really rough patch (more rough that the STNGMT-era) he wasn't really into those sets. I'm really sad I missed them last night.

 

He does do "characters" but looking at the set lists it doesn't look like any of the "band within a band" songs were on the set list. Haha. He's just a weird, silly guy.

Tuesdays with Reggie were the best! Matt was on Lead Singer Syndrome last week, and mentioned that he had started the podcast as a way to fill the time when he wasn't so involved in music. So it's been put on-hold while recording/touring, but he might be starting it up again soon. I'm sure James will be involved to some degree/on some episodes if that happens.

 

I don't know if I realized that his name was not really Reggie haha

 

I guess I am overly sensitive then! Thanks guys. It was certainly one of the most interesting sets I'd seen in my life.

Nah. He's a weirdo. If you weren't familiar with him already and/or his stage persona, I can see how it might turn people off.

Pentimento (the full effect) played "Sink or Swim" tonight. I shed many tears.

Is that his backing band this tour?

 

I miss that band so fucking much it hurts.

Truly one of my favorite bands ever. Some of the nicest people I've ever met. Such an incredible, incredible band.

Yea that was pretty cool with Pentimento just playing 1 song before SA. Great show in general. I still can't believe how much bayside just sticks to their 2nd and 3rd album. Mix it up guysssss
