Yeah, was hoping someone would link it on here...but I took the 12 seconds to find it myself. Thanks for nothing.
I just listened to Ace on there yesterday and thought to myself "wow really hope Anthony does one for the new Bayside album" and here we are
Love the idea of the podcast but really can’t stand Shane’s presence on it. Has it gotten any better recently?
I had a similar though. I realized that with the new album Anthony would be a perfect guest for LSS, but I went back through the archives of the podcast and remembered he was on it a long time ago. I'm super stoked he's returning, and I can't wait to hear about the new album. Shane has had some great interviews.
If it's a person Shane knows it tends to go really well. It's the interviews with people he hasn't met before (that have obviously set up through a publicist as part of an album/tour/book promotional tour) that tend to be a little cringe from time to time.
Pretty sure I've committed to doing Grand Rapids for the tour now Now I just have to commit to my preorder bundle lol
very good and insightful podcast where he explains the record and the rollout. very excited about it. love when a band this far in tries to give a shit and try their hardest. he ranks their records at the end of the episode: Killing Time The Walking Wounded Bayside Cult Vacancy Shudder Sirens and Condolences
I used to be a giant Bayside fan from the first record until Wasting Time and nowadays I’m a casual fan but these new singles are sweet. Plus the Lead Singer Syndrome episode was great and got me very excited for the record so I went ahead and preordered the record. Galaxy variant!
Definitely interesting ranking by Anthony. I can’t help myself... must.... rank.... ahhhh The Walking Wounded (it will always be their Magnum Opus) Self Titled Killing Time Vacancy (barely beating Shudder solely because the production is just a lot better and "Mary") Shudder Cult Sirens and Condolences I honestly do think the new record is going to be something really special from how Anthony and Shane described it. Hell, just hearing how the process of recording went made me mega interested to hear it. Once I saw the galaxy variant - I knew it was game over. I pulled the trigger despite trying to cut back on my vinyl purchases lol
Bayside rankings, you say? If I must... S/T Walking Wounded Killing Time Sirens & Condolences Shudder Vacancy Cult They don’t have a record I don’t love.
I always changed (I think I even did a couple pages ago) but at the moment I’m feeling The Walking Wounded Killing Time/Vacancy S/T Shudder Cult Sirens From the feel of it, this album might take the spot over KT/Vacancy for me.
Anthony admits Shudder was the 'get out of Victory record' Surprised he ranked Cult as high as he did.
