playing Great South Bay Music festival with Manchester Orchestra on July 7th in Patchogue (Long Island)
In no particular order my top three Bayside records are: The Walking Wounded, Shudder, and Interrobang Hoping a new album is in the works!
So this one time that I saw bayside live, they played 'the ghost of saint valentine.' When anthony (not anthony_) sang the "...and it's consequences keep you up at night..." line, I'm 90% positive he made eye contact with me and winked. I still think about that every time this song comes on. And that's why this song is an easy top 5; because you can wink to it.
Revisited Shudder today (just the best when it comes to pairing this band's hooks with Anthony's melodies) and I had no idea about this album, the only one I haven't heard. Gonna give it a spin next
I don’t think Bayside have ever gone 4 years between albums, so I’d be surprised if we don’t at least see something in the way of new music sometime this year.
oh yea, Anthony said on a podcast recently they are basically releasing the whole album one single at a time. I kinda hate that.
Anthony was just on The Gunz Show (?) last week and said they were releasing an album this year. That was the first (and only) time I had heard that. I didn’t hear anything about releasing a single one at a time.
Give me 2/3 singles to get me hyped up for the album but nothing more. I hate the idea of releasing an album one single at a time. PS, seeing them play with Thrice this summer, can’t wait!
Was it on that Millionaire trivia segment? That's where I saw him at the end when he was about to get off and Gunz said something like, new Bayside by the end of the year, and Anthony said yes. I didn't really hear him get into any details at all. But I was also watching on my phone while sitting in my driveway and my kids were running around, so I was only half paying attention.
