Idk what I considered their best before this and am still not sure what I’d consider their best. Seems like most around here say Killing Time? Gonna start my discography run through tomorrow.
Honestly surprised to see the overwhelmingly KT as the favorite in here. I always thought (and have seen on this site) that either TWW or ST were regarded as the favorite (as they are for me). I'm not ready to put Interrobang above TWW or ST and I'm not sure I'd place it over KT or...even Shudder (I love Shudder - probably my 3rd favorite Bayside album and KT would be 4th). I always say it's kind of pointless to rank Bayside albums because I love them all so much. Also...how brilliant is the closing 45 seconds of White Flag? A true Interrobang. Not even close to my favorite closer from them, but fits absolutely perfectly with the theme of the album.
Walking Wounded is my favorite but S/T and KT are basically tied for second. It's hard for me to pick one over the other because they're both incredible. But Walking Wounded is definitely their best.
I’m pretty surprised by the almost universal praise for KT on here. I think it’s half killer half filler personally. Walking Wounded and S/T are my personal top Bayside records but can I see Interrobang getting up there? Absolutely. It’s just so goddamn good. Also, White Flag is easily one my favorite closers I’ve heard from Bayside and honestly all year. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say TWW is their least favorite before. All good, everyone has their opinions, but I’m low key shocked to hear that. Especially is the self-titled is your favorite.
I realize I'm in the minority! I've been a fan of Bayside since right around when ST came out so I have about of fond High School memories that will never go away for that album. As for TWW, don't get me wrong I really like it, but it took me a long time to get there. It wasn't until years later that I truly came to love that album and that's why it's the lowest for me.
It's a loophole but I still say Live at the Bayside Social Club is the best. I can't choose a studio album. Maybe TWW or S/T. Shit, I don't know.
Super into this now that I had time to enjoy it a little more. The follow up I expected after killing time (which is still their best album, sorry)
While we're bringing up their discography, am I the first to mention the acoustic album? That's my second favorite release after Killing Time
Yeah that'd be my 2nd favorite as well. It better be considering I have lyrics to Winter tattooed on me haha
sirens > s/t > shudder > tww > kt > vacancy > cult prob put this above killing time. also the top 4 are mostly interchangeable.
My vinyl arrived last night (but I probably won't even be able to listen until the weekend so I'm sad)
Shudder has the best opening duo of songs lest we forget. First listen to this ruled but I did notice it was top heavy. But it's their best in a while for me
