I absolutely love how heavy the guitars are on these songs. I’ll always want these guys to do whatever they want to do, but heavy Bayside is just *chefs kiss*
It probably won’t ever be my favorite Bayside record just because of the nostalgia I have for S/T, but I think you’re correct in saying it could very well be their best record.
would love to get a shipping notification for this soon... hoping they actually ship on time w such a short rollout.
It’s annoying but kinda funny that Bayside caught bands cheating the voting system. I wonder how people are cheating and how the band is fixing it. OF COURSE a cool opportunity and something new had to be taken advantage of. Damn shame.
I got that part...but how were people cheating? How'd they find out? This is the first I'm hearing about it.
Never got around to listening to Numb or Bury Me so at this point I'm probably just going to wait until Friday.
No online polling is all that secure. For most, clearing cookies or cycling through some VPN servers is all that's needed. For others, you just refresh the page (easily automated). I haven't tried this voting system myself, but I hearing that the system is being taken advantage of is not a surprise. If it were me, I'd simply eliminate known cheaters and reward the folks playing by the rules. I'm sure they'll sort it out.
So are the bands themselves cheating? Or are the bands' fans finding a way to cheat? This seems like a really sticky situation, because if it's the bands' fans, the band can't really control that. Have a feeling this is going to get messy.
Yeah you can't punish the bands for having overzealous fans that are trying to take advantage of the voting.
Numb has been stuck in my head for the last 24 hours. It's probably my favorite of the 4 jams. Goddamn, this record is going to be stellar!
If I HAD to rank the 4 songs released, I’d go: Bury Me Interrobang Prayers Numb Keep in mind I fuck with all of these on every level imaginable. They’re all excellent.
I'd definitely go Interrobang as my favorite. Then Prayers. Haven't listened to Numb/Bury enough to give them proper rankings. I started listening to Heaven on the Paste livestream but turned it off because I didn't want an acoustic live version be my first introduction to the song.
