Always do the right thing. Supporter

The trailer seemed to lean into the "fun" aspects when most of the accounts of the movie were that it wasn't really that tone, which is interesting. I like David Ayer fine but I'm still a little trepidatious on that movie, mostly because I am not at all enthused for Leto's Joker.

These seem like different circumstances but yes -- definitely not a fan of reshooting just to appease critics. The tone of BvS isn't an issue for anyone other than those who want DC to mimic Marvel.

Warner Bros should just sell the rights to Disney.

Red Hood story line makes sense after what we saw in BvS

I'm alright with that, though I'd like Hush more. Makes sense.

Hope there's still room for a Barbara Gordon Batgirl in this world.

I'm ready for the rated-R director's cut, and curious to see how it adds to the story.

This is adding onto an old conversation but I actually read the Martha scene as more humanizing Clark for Bruce, who previously just thought of him as a god or monster or something. You can see him realizing what he's about to do during that scene

  13. There's a lot to read into that scene but ya, this is the important thing. There's the line, "You're not brave. Men are brave," and there's at least one more line where he's like, "You're not even a man."

Yeah I would be down for a Red Hood story arc.

Red Hood would be cool, Hush would be insane though.

it's pretty good, and really sets up Justice League.

Not that ranking gets us anywhere, but I'd say it's at least as good as TDKR.

I am still firmly behind this movie. The story is heavily flawed and people are being especially harsh on perceived plot holes, but at the end of the day I'd say the good outweighs the bad. A podcaster I listen to said it was just dumb fun, which I agree with mostly although the style of the movie (aesthetic, music, etc) is very well done.

    music and baseball.

I enjoyed this movie, but it definitely has its flaws. A lot of which has been said already. Snyder's slow build and cramming of information and material, which I guess the viewers are supposed to know or assume, kind of brings the movie down a notch. It felt like a good movie with bad directing.

Bruce Wayne/Batman is really a plus. Affleck pulled it off. I was excited every time I saw him and especially one fight scene in particular. I really wish Affleck gets to make his solo film and did it all himself.
