Idk if it beats colourmeinkindness, but it’s neck and neck for sure. Banger of a record. Ian cohen on indie cast was talking shit about this band and I was kind of like okay so you’ve never even fuckin listened huh

Listened to this on my drive from SF to OC. Couple tracks but mostly meh to me.

That’s unfortunate for you. Especially on that drive.

Gonna be a great driving record for the Spring/Summer. Honestly, this might be their most cohesive album to me right out of the gate. I was really knocking the singles at first, but they really grew on me and definitely fit more in context with the album.

My daughter (5 years old) is claiming this vinyl as her "second record" because she loves the cover. Her first vinyl is the KPop Demon Hunters Soundtrack, which is also a banger.

But she loves "Satisfy". Asked to put it on 4 times yesterday. "Play the cat song"

Promise Everything is my favorite of theirs; I think it’s their most concise and cohesive record. It flows really well in a way that gets in and gets out and is super catchy. Though, admittedly, I haven’t been able to enjoy it in the way I used to after they swapped the original LP for the rerelease on Spotify (RIP the title track, it sounds so out of place now), and I think the first four off Colour or the first three off Beside are the band’s strongest showings.

This new one is warming on me a ton though. Summer’s End is definitely the highlight on this imo. It’s phenomenal. I wish one of Head Alight or Longshot was in the middle of the record; the latter especially feels like a halfway reprieve, or the a stereotypical Basement closer a la Halo/Right Here, but I feel the two back to back at the end breaks pace in an awkward way.

  13. What a bill! Not familiar with Big Boy, but immediately stoked about everyone else. Glad this will be at a venue with a balcony, no way I’m making it through 6 bands standing haha

    idk man

Great album, great lineup. Big Boy is fun live!

Poster is weird, it looks like Momma is on all dates but they're only on the first half. We're Getting Fiddlehead, High Vis, Big Boy, and First Day Back in Boston. Also signed up for autobuy, worth a shot if your date offers it. Less than $50 per ticket after fees is a great deal for a 5 band bill.

  16. Alright maybe I’m dumb but I assumed since there were only asterisks for two bands that the rest of the dates included everyone else haha. Guess we’re not getting Momma or February

edit: haha just beat me to it. Yeah very misleading poster. But at least the site details everything before you buy.

On my last spin of this I was thinking the guitars on that one remind me a ton of the Ships EP especially so you're not alone
