Comfort + Wish might be my favorite end to an album ever, at least in that era of music

 

all this Basement talk sent me down a rabbit hole of Basement videos and I found this one of the "final" socal show they played in my town. One of the sweatiest shows ive ever been to.

 

Was that really branded as a farewell tour? I genuinely can't recall if they announced or marketed it as such

 

they definitely announced a long break of some kind

So the 2nd LP is probably the further sky EP (with an etched b-side). Anyone know of other bonus tracks associated with this album that might be included?

can't believe I've been listening to CMIK for a decade. Looking back at the amazing music that came out in my freshman year of college (CMIK, Floral Green, Jar, Youth, not to mention Separation, Clash Battle Guilt Pride, and Winter Forever the year prior) all hit at the perfect time to really stick with me over the years.

Watching the Outbreak set last night really got me feeling nostalgic for that time period of music and seeing those bands live, at least the ones I was lucky enough to see. Still bummed I never got a chance to see Polar Bear Club or Title Fight.

 

If you're a fan and haven't watched their set from Outbreak Fest yet, put that on your to do list.

 

This is the best they've ever sounded. It's so good.

 

New version of Breathe

The new deluxe edition will have 3 additional "alt versions". I assume these are new recordings?

Love that take on Breathe but the original has such a perfect build up. Wasn't sure if those were old/leftover recordings at first but looks like they're completely new.

 

new versions are fun. pine especially

 

hard to think of better ways to start an album than Whole -> Covet -> Spoiled -> Pine

 

Hopefully means a tour……. hopefully lol

 

They’ll definitely do one. Similar to Superheaven they had a huge pop on TikTok so I’m sure they’re going to capitalize

 

I wont get my hopes up too high but my fingers are crossed for a tour. I miss them so much. Havent seen them since the co-headliner with Nothing back in 2019.
