Song is great. I wasn't a huge fan of the previous record but I'm excited for this one.

 

I see Basement discovered Jimmy Eat World's gold charting album "Futures".

 

Yeah this just sounds like Jimmy (not that I’d ever complain about that)

the song is good! reminds me of "Summer's Colour" or "Aquasun" which are two of my favorite post-CMIK

 

imo not enough bands want to sound like Futures so it's fine with me

Lol just listened to the song, super good. But throughout i couldn’t put my finger on who it reminded me of, and early Jimmy Eat World finally popped in my head. Came here to post and saw the comparisons already being made

Don't really remember Promise Everything, but this song is really good. I should revisit these guys because I remember CMIK being huge for me when it came out

 

Their earlier stuff definitely hits harder than the new stuff but I've come to expect that they are poppier now and that's ok.

 

I luv poppy so maybe I really SHOULD revisit Promise Everything haha
