Pretty sure I heard it’s a new version, which makes sense cause I think the album version is like two plus years old
In a Cab is definitely updated. Really wish Boomer had gotten the same treatment, the mix on there is just a little rough but the song is so good.
Thankful bands are struggling to get into Canada because now Bartees is coming to Cleveland again opening for Lucy Dacus. Unfortunately will have to leave before Lucy to see Touche down the street though
I’ve said this before but in general I always get Yellow Days vibes from him. Not necessarily those two songs, but still.
I think it's boring as sin. If it was more of a clear intro track and had like a full minute shaved off, it would be cool.
I think it’s actually super cool, probably the best of the downtempo songs on here, and it builds into mustang perfectly also—how did he push the original Kelly Rowland as a single but isn’t doing the same with the new one?
He played probably...6 new ones last night at his show in Felton, CA....they sounded unbelievable. Absolutely explosive choruses with some insane shredding outros. Can't wait to hear the release.
Just saw him tonight for the first time in Seattle. Incredible performer, musician, and vocalist. He didn't play anything new but did some extended solos on some songs and played a national cover. He's gonna be huge when the next record drops.
Yeah, Bartees played a ton of new songs (6 sounds about right) when I saw him a few days before his Outsidelands set back in October. They were all absolute bangers.
Proper. - The Great American Novel (March 25, 2022) • forum.chorus.fm New album from Proper. produced by Bartees out in March
